High-Temperature Plasma Physics Department pursues activities relevant to nuclear fusion research, focusing on magnetic confinement. The topics studied in the department include power exhaust, access to high confinement modes, turbulence characterisation, runaway electrons, magnetic perturbations and preparation of physics exploitation of the COMPASS Upgrade tokamak.
