The Institute of Plasma Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic is striving to obtain the HR Excellence in Research Award, which is awarded by the European Commission to research organizations that align their internal processes with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers (https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/hrexcellenceaward). The Institute officially endorsed the Charter’s principles on October 10, 2025, and on October 9, 2026, submitted a proposed Action plan for the 2026–2028 period to the European Commission for assessment; this plan aims to align internal processes with the Charter’s principles. The Institute is currently in the Initial Assessment phase.
