35th ITPA DivSOL TG meeting
On 21 - 24 October 2024, the Institute of the Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences organized 35th meeting of the ITPA Topical Groups Scrape Off Layer and Divertor (DivSOL). The meeting was attended by more than 70 experts from most of the ITER members.

Pushing the limits of current optics for space applications and lasers. Karel Žídek from the TOPTEC Centre of the Institute of Plasma Physics of the CAS won a prestigious grant from the European Research Council (ERC).

Thesis of student Filip Wick awarded by the Zvoníček Foundation
Master’s thesis "The influence of powder granulometry on mechanical and fatigue properties of aluminum deposited by cold spray" by Filip Wick was awarded the Best diploma thesis in the "Structures and Technologies" category of this year’s 30th annual competition organized by the Zvoníček Foundation at CTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Slavomír Entler receives the prize for popularization from the President of the CAS
This year's prize for popularization was presented at the opening ceremony of the Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Dr. Slavomír Entler from IPP (Section of Fusion Plasma) received it from the President of the CAS Eva Zažímalová.
