Dr. Tomáš Chráska became the new director of IPP on 1 February, 2025. After ten years and two successful terms of office of Professor Radomír Pánek, he succeeded him as the director of the Institute.

Radomír Pánek was elected as the new president of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic
On Tuesday, December 10, the Academic Assembly elected Professor Radomír Pánek, as the new President of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, who won the first round by winning an absolute majority of votes, 128 out of 242 ballots.
