The Plasma Chemical Technologies Department is organizing the 3rd International Workshop on Plasma Chemical Technologies as an Important Approach to (Nano)Materials and Hydrogen Production (PLASCHEMAT 2026)

The Plasma Chemical Technologies Department at the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences is organizing the 3rd International Workshop on Plasma Chemical Technologies as an Important Approach to (Nano)Materials and Hydrogen Production (PLASCHEMAT 2026).

Building on the success of the previous editions, this year’s workshop confirms the growing importance of plasma chemical technologies in advanced materials synthesis, hydrogen production, waste valorisation, and sustainable energy applications.

The workshop will bring together approximately 25 participants from both academia and industry, including international experts and collaborators from several countries. The event therefore represents not only a scientific meeting, but also an important platform for strengthening interdisciplinary and international cooperation between research institutions, universities, and industrial partners. The continuously increasing interest in the workshop demonstrates the strong potential of plasma-based technologies for future industrial implementation and scientific development. Particular attention will be devoted to thermal and non-thermal plasma processes, plasma-assisted nanomaterial synthesis, hydrogen and syngas production, plasma diagnostics, environmental applications, and emerging circular-economy technologies. The organizers expect that the workshop will further stimulate new collaborations, joint international projects, technology transfer activities, and long-term partnerships between academia and industry. PLASCHEMAT 2026 is thus envisioned not only as a discussion forum, but also as a strategic step toward the future development of plasma chemical technologies and their broader societal and industrial impact.
