Martin Hron elected as member of the IUPAP Commission on Plasma Physics

During the 2024 IUPAP General Assembly, Martin Hron was elected as a member of the IUPAP Commission on Plasma Physics for a 3-years mandate from 1st January 2025.

 
Martin Hron started his scientific career in the field of the tokamak plasma physics, particularly with focus on tokamak edge plasma, L-H transition and H-mode, plasma flows and oscillations, and turbulence. Further, he extended his activities into plasma diagnostics and plasma control. Currently he is the head of the Fusion Plasma Division of the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
 
IUPAP stands for the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics, the only global organization dedicated to all areas of physics. Its primary goals are:
