The meeting of the International Board of Advisors was held at IPP on November 11 - 12, 2024.
The
International Board of Advisors, consisting of nine leading experts in the
field of controlled thermonuclear fusion, traditionally meets once a year in Prague. This committee
was established in 1999 with the aim of shaping the programme and assessing the results of the
scientific work of the EURATOM / IPP.CR Association. Current focus of the board covers the field of
controlled thermonuclear fusion, namely in the Fusion Plasma Division. The agenda of the
meeting focussed on the current state of the COMPASS-U construction and development of diagnostics
and other key systems for the new tokamak, as well as on experimental and modelling activities on
other European fusion devices, and developments toward ITER and DEMO.
