From Monday, November 27th, to Friday, December 8th, 2023, the Winter Course EMTRAIC, organized by Jordan Cavalier, took place at the Fusion Plasma Division.
This course is an integral component of the Erasmus Mundus Fusion-EP Master Programme (http://www.em-master-fusion.org) and is compulsory for all second-year master's students. Participants underwent evaluation based on their performance during the course.
EMTRAIC 2023 was attended by 20 students from 14 different countries. Divided in groups,
students worked on a scientific topic for two weeks under the supervision of experts from the
Fusion Plasma division and external colleagues specially invited for the occasion (France, Italy,
Hungary, CVUT). The students presented their two-week results at the closing ceremony the last day
of the events. The topics were strongly related to the current research programme of the Fusion
Plasma division, including COMPASS data analysis as well as prospective work towards COMPASS
Upgrade.
