Since October 2022, Jan Čížek from the Materials Department of IPP was elected a member of ASM International – Thermal Spray Society (ASM-TSS) Board of Directors for the 2022–2024 term.
ASM International (formerly American Society for Metals) is the biggest expert society for study of materials, from fundamental research to industrial applications. TSS, one of its key chapters, associates worldwide experts from the field of materials surface modifications by thermal spray technologies. Within the 16 Board members, Dr. Čížek represents one of two experts of the supersonic cold kinetic spray technology. His objectives will be development of the society in the European region and development of the cold spray technology in central Europe.
