New arrays of ball-pen and Langmuir probes were installed to the divertor of the COMPASS Tokamak in order to perform fast measurements of the plasma parameters and heat fluxes.
This unique probe technique will allow us to study very fast events like ELMs (Edge Localized Modes) with high time and space resolution.
Ball-pen and Langmuir probes were placed directly into the divertor of the COMPASS Tokamak and the installation was done in September. The results will be used in grant projects of IPP (J. Adamek: GA15-10723S, M. Komm: GA16-14228S, P. Cahyna: GA16-24724S) and other research tasks.
